Death info on Larry Huber

Larry Blaine Huber was one of Roy and Vera's sons.

VERNAL- Larry Blaine Huber, 28, Vernal, died Saturday in a Salt Lake hospital where he was being treated for injuries suffered in a Dec. 14, 1964, traffic accident.  An autopsy was slated Sunday to determine cause of death.  Born May 23, 1936, Lapoint, Uintah County, to Roy and Vera Taylor Huber.  Married Theda Houston, April 16, 1964, Salt Lake LDS Temple.  Member, LDS Church, National Guard.  Served LDS mission to West Central States, 1956-58.  Bureau of Reclamation driller. Survivors: widow; parents, Lapoint; brothers, sisters, Dean, Martin, JoAnn, all Lapoint; Lieut. Clayton S., with armed forces, Hudson, Mass; Mrs. Loris (June) Wooley, Lapoint; Mrs. Douglas (Rhea) Merkley, Heber City; Mrs. Dean (Doris) Sessions, Vernal.  Funeral Wednesday noon, Glines LDS Ward Chapel.  Friends call Vernal Mortuary Tuesday 7-9 p.m. Wednesday prior to services.  Burial Lapoint Cemetery.

Rites Held for Larry Huber, Accident Victim
Funeral services were held Wednesday noon at the Glines LDS Ward Chapel for Larry Huber, 28, who died Saturday in a Salt Lake hospital of injuries suffered in a car- horse accident Dec. 14 near Roosevelt.
He was born in Lapoint, May 23, 1936, a son of Roy and Vera Taylor Huber.  He attended schools in Lapoint and Roosevelt graduating from Union High School in 1954.
He was active in the FFA and had the grand champion lamb at the State Fair.
He filled a mission to the Central States from 1956 to 1958 and was ordained a Seventy and filled a stake LDS mission to Dutch John in 1960 and 1961.
Active in church affairs, he was on the Ashley Stake MIA Board, was an officer in the MIA in Lapoint, priesthood leader of the Elders and Teacher's Quorum advisor, all in Lapoint, and was teacher of the Priests in Vernal 7th Ward.
He married Theda Houston April 16, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Survivors include his widow, Vernal; parents, Lapoint; brothers and sisters, Dean, Martin, JoAnn all Lapoint; Lt. Clayton S. Huber with the Armed forces in Hudson, Mass.; Mrs. Loris (June) Wooley, Lapoint; Mrs. Douglas (Rhea) Merkley, Heber and Mrs. Dean (Doris) Session, Vernal.
Burial was in the Lapoint Cemetery.

Larry Huber Funeral Held Wed., Feb. 3
Funeral services for Larry Blaine Huber, 28, who died in a Salt Lake hospital following a car-horse accident, were held Wednesday of last week in the Glines Ward Chapel.
Services were conducted by Bishop Garth P. Batty of the Vernal 7th Ward Bishopric. Rell Swenson gave the prayer at the mortuary.
Melba Tullis played the prelude and postlude music.
Max Taylor gave the invocation.  Rex and Cynthia Taylor sang, "In the Garden".
Bishop Batty gave the obituary and remarks.  "Danny Boy" was sung by Glad Sowards.
H.S. Sowards and Wendell Johnson were the speakers.
Mr. and Mrs. Glad Sowards sang "Going Home".  Benediction was given by Coy Hayward.
Clayton S. Huber dedicated the grave and burial was in the Lapoint Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenneth, Glenn, Merlin, Marvin, Darrell and Doyle Huber, Joseph Fazzio and Wallace Pitt.  Larry's Priest class and Mac Ross were honorary pallbearers.
Out-of-town visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Merkley, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Huber, Clara Huber and Floyd Bonner all of Heber; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rich, Rangely, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Briggs, Layton; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fazzio, Max Taylor, LaRae Rollins, Nola Warner, Rell Swenson, Lucile Tucker, Mr. and Mrs. Roger T. Kirkham, Mr. and Mrs. Wayland Swenson, Ira Huber and Margaret Walton, all of Salt Lake City.
